Barbering involves not only executing a precise haircut, but also performing any number of techniques to the face, scalp, beard and mustache. Barbers trim, cut, shape and taper hair using scissors, razors, clippers and combs. They also often provide facial hair maintenance, custom shaves and a number of grooming services, such as coloring hair, applying hair tonics and permanent waving. Level Up Beauty Academy can equip you with the skills you need to succeed as a barber.
1,250 Hours
Full time 28 hours per week / total of 44 weeks
Part time 12 hours per week / total of 104 weeks
Program Goals:
Our Barbering course is designed to provide competency-based knowledge, scientific/artistic principles, and hands-on fundamentals associated with the barber industry. The curriculum also provides a simulated environment that enables students to develop manipulative skills.

Barbering Course
The primary purpose of our Barber Program is to train the student in the basic manipulative skills, safety judgments, proper work habits, and desirable attitudes necessary to pass the State Board examination and for competency in job entry-level positions in Barbering or a related career field.
